Shenanigans

The homeland. This bar holds a special place in my heart for many reasons.
A dirty, sweaty, glorious "Irish" bar (there's lots of green and shamrock décor). The first floor is a pretty standard bar, regular music, some stools, some small tables. On the second floor (typically 5-10 degrees warmer than the first) is another bar and a sweaty, sticky dance floor. Two gigantic fans blowing on the second-floor bar just spread around the ever-present smell of sweat and stale beer. The DJ in the back plays only the hits (expect to hear "Dancing Queen", "Mr. Brightside" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" at least 3 times each throughout the night).
This bar shines on price. Their famous deal is the $10 all-you-can-drink. From 8pm-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, $10 cash at the door gets you a stamp, which entitles you to all the draft Miller and rail liquor you can drink in that time frame. Expect to tip your bartender, get sloppy, and get there early (by 9 it's usually crowd-crush packed).
For regular drinks, beers are $5 and rails are $6.
If you're in your early-mid twenties and you want to get fucked up and dance for cheap (or if the line at Madam's was just too damn long), this is your spot.
Side note: I have never been to Shenanigans on a weeknight, and I never plan to. I imagine it resembles one of the higher circles of Hell.
